Salesforce Trust is a platform provided by Salesforce that provides real-time information about the status and performance of its services.
It also lets you see when salesforce updates are scheduled for your specific instance of salesforce.
You can see the performance, security, and availability of Salesforce services including Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Service Cloud and more.
The aim of the platform is to build trust between salesforce users and its technology by being transparent with status updates. This is a bit like when you see the status of different lines at the tube station. The platform allows you to keep informed on any potential issues.

Check the status of you Salesforce Instance
To check the status of your Salesforce instance, you will need to know what Salesforce instance you are on. This is noted in the ‘Instance’ field on the ‘Company Information’ page in Salesforce set up. The Instance does not normally change, but this is worth rechecking periodically.
Enter this instance number into the search bar of Salesforce Status.
This presents you with a dashboard showing the status of services running on the instance. There are 5 colours representing the different status types, ranging from green (available and fully functional) to red (the instance is inaccessible).

System Security
Salesforce Trust also aims to reinforce that Salesforce is a reliable and secure platform.
There are various processes in place for continuous monitoring of security threats.
Salesforce has an inbuilt ‘Health Check’ tool which reports on security vulnerabilities within your org. You can find this on the ‘Health Check’ page in Salesforce setup.
The tool gives an overview of all security-related system settings, categorised according to high, medium, low and informational risks. This should be viewed as a proactive rather than reactive security tool and should be reviewed monthly.
The report focuses on settings and policies already applied within the system, for example password and login policies, certificate statuses and external (portal) access to objects.
You can also see the portal security report by searching for it in your Salesforce setup. This report is focused primarily on data access for portal users and gives an overview of the portal’s security health.
